In casual romanization, ungʌ is often omitted when it carries no audible sound. In strict input, ungʌ must be written explicitly as = wherever a consonant slot is present without another consonant. Any input containing = is treated as strict input and is validated accordingly.
In the process of determining the easiest way to present and create the IPA sounds I fluctuated widely between typing conventions and visual representations of a half-dozen letters. The ʌ, ʃ, ʒ, ɹ, ʤ, j, ɪ,and ʧ are all non-standard IPA representations of English typical characters.
